    .277 Wolverine

I built a 277 wolverine that I started loading for. Have been waiting for time and decent weather to start testing loads. I will post results as I test. I am open to tips and advise from others loading this round. Feel free to share to this post and we can help each other out.

I load for the wolverine as well. Not a novice but have experience with it a bit. Have you checked out the MDWS forum. Lots of info in their as well as a community doc for a bunch of loads. Great info to help you decide different bullet and powder combinations. I have pasted the link to that forum below.

I have been on their forum and printed off their load data pages. I just figured I would start a discussion here to get first hand experience from guys here and help each other out.

This is a round that I too am curious about and on the bubble of investing into. Hopefully as this forum continues to grow, more and more people will share their experiences with the cartidge as well.

Well dustin i can tell you. I started using this round for few reasons. 1-Where i hunt most shots stay under 200 yds and it is more than capable of handling business at that range. 2-It has a very easy to handle recoil and my kids absolutely love it (has way less kick than the .243 they used to use). My 6 year old boy shoots his and does really well. 3-I am an avid reloader and being able to convert a caliber that i already use is a big plus for me.

So i will say that if you are looking into it you cant go wrong IMHO.

I reload for the 277 using reloader # 7 and 90 grn gold dot hollow point, it is a super fun round so far, waiting to plug a deer this year coming up with it if I can find one under 200 yards just to be safe

That will depend on what bullet you select and what your comfortable with. Most would say the 200-250 yds would be good.
