Well I tested imr4064 with 75gn sierra gp, and don't think my gun likes it. I'm going to try varget next. Should get my order in from wes this week. Then I'll try them hornady bullets. This was my best group, did 3shot groups this time.

That’s a good start. Good enough for deer hunting. Maybe with different powder / bullet combinations you can tighten it up a bit.

I have had very good luck with 70 and 75 grainers and varget in 243 and 6mm. You may try seating them out a bit to tighten up groups. Seems most Rem 700s prefer the longer COL
I have no idea what the hell I am doing.
So I just keep shooting. It all works out in the end.

With the addition of the NosPart,no lead bullets, and light weight (<61gr) bullets, the 243Win is an extremely versatile chambering. More so IMO,than the 260Rem and even the 7mm-08.
It also has the short powder column accuracy over the old 6mm.
About 40 years back I had a buddy with a Rem788 (the short bbl version) chambered in 243Win. We killed tons of woodchucks and coyotes with that gun. When he deployed he would leave the gun with me,when I deployed I would leave the gun with him. This chambering, and gun,was some of my first reloading expierances.
At one time or another,I have owned about 6 or 7 243's. My most accurate was a Ruger#1V. --- SAWMAN
Why just dance when you can "rock and roll".

Yessir is enjoyable cause there isn't any recoil. I'll figure out what this rifle likes.
