    Solid copper casting

So I was watching this video:https://youtu.be/SJDJ5IJGhpc

And I got to thinking: does anyone cast their own solid copper bullets? Is it even feasible/possible/worth the time and effort? If so, anything to be aware of before attempting it?

    Thanks!

I don't think it'd be feasable. It'd take your mold to long to cool down and I'm guessing it'd have to be made of steel. Plus even with a steel mold I'd bet it would burn the mold up quickly.

Googled "solid copper bullets" and learned me some stuffs. First - copper bullets aren't nearly as Coolio as I had thought, though the entire concept is still pretty new and the technology is still very much in the development phase: https://www.ballisticstudies.com/Kno...+inhumane.html

Second: most solid copper bullets are machined, not cast. Duh. Should have seen that coming.

Still - since my question was mostly theoretical anyway - still interested in any ideas or experience with casting copper bullets.
