Jay, thanks so much for running this. I don't know if I'll ever have the nerve to try, but I now have more information than I had before. My hope has been to acquire a Ruger convertible 45 Colt/45ACP gun and try it out in that first. We shall see.

You might look at the Lehigh Defense website. They sell some solid copper 120gr bullets for 45 ACP. You will want to analyze it carefully since it could be an apples to oranges since copper bullets are typically longer, but since theirs are flat points and yours are deep hollow points and 5 gr heavier, it could be useable data.
