Does anyone have any load development for the 33 Nosler. It’s a Montana rifle 1-10 twist looking to shoot 270 or 285 eldm. It’s hard to find a starting point.

Hodgdon has load data posted on their site. I didn’t see any for the Hornady ELDX but they had several loads in the bullet weights you’re looking at. Should provide a good starting point.
How do you like the 33 Nosler? I’m a 338LM shooter myself, so I am always a little curious when new 338 Cal cartridges come out.
Reloading...it’s like knitting for men.
Same bullets. Less powder. I love my 338lm. The 33 however is smooth. Using a mouser action. Brass is a little pricey unless Wes can get a deal on them.

I kinda fell in love with 338's in the last couple of years. Bought a 338 win then a 338 ultra mag. I then got a 338 lapua and a few months ago stepped up to the big boy 338-378 wby. I'm looking at the 33 nosler also. I think it would be a great in between mid bore.

Definitely, they are a very smooth shooting gun. It would complete your inventory.

Thank you sir. I don't like my 338 ultra mag. Light weight and poor stock design just beats me to death. When I get the nosler and the 340 wby I'll move on to a different caliber lol. What is the weight ballpark on your Montana rifle?

With the muzzle brake on her it’s like shooting a 243. I can definitely put 20 rounds down range and want to shoot more. Weight is 7.5 without scope. Did it for long range mountain elk.

Awesome setup thank you for the info and good luck filling your elk tag

Greatly appreciate it. And no problem on the information. This is why I love what Wes has done. It’s all about helping out.
