    Too much lemon juice?

The case on the left was tumbled in lemon juice, the case on the right was Bar Keepers Friend, I’ve had good luck with the lemon juice before but the brass is so dull that I’m worried the acid may have stripped the brass

Just throw it in a vibratory tumbler with corn cob media a little nu finish car wax with a little mineral spirits and they'll look like new.

Yeah I don’t have a vibratory tumbler, I’m wondering if I stripped the zinc out of these casings with too much citric acid

Citric acid usually turns them pink if you use too much.
    How are you tumbling them?

The case to the left doesn’t look pink to me. I think it fine to use. Maybe it’s the lighting in the photo....

Agreed. Looks dull, but that is it.
Tumbling method will be critical to solving the issue.
Bar Tenders polish has Ammonia, and will shine brass, but will break it down

Stainless pins, HF dual drum tumbler, I guess I need to break down and go find some lemishine.

Bypass lemishine, and just get food grade citric acid. WAY better to use for brass
