    Scratched brass

Ok, new one for me here. Once fired brass, wet tumbled like I always do. Brand new forster 6.5 grendel fl sizer. Took the die apart brand new and cleaned and lumber per their instructions. Wtf is going on here?

Did it feel gritty when you were sizing the brass? Looks like the inside of the die could be a little rough.

I had that same thing happen with a lee 45 acp die. It ended up being out of specs from the factory lee replaced it free if charge

I suspect that it is a die issue. I would reach out to the manufacturer because it seems to need to be polished inside.

Die issue for sure. See how the scratches run longitudinal? You’ll only get that from a rough chamber, grit in the die, or a die with a rough finish.
