    300 Blackout

Have you guys had any luck shooting hogs with a 300 blackout suppressed and I am not worried about subsonic rounds. I’m looking at the 125 gr SST by Hornaday. I have a 10 1/2 inch barrel, have any you guys killed hogs at a max distance of 50 yards with this type of set up?

The top 3 I have seen, for supersonic rounds based on our customer data:
    110gr Barnes
    125gr SST
    125gr Nosler BT

For deer, Hogs, etc, those have been the top movers for us

I have not been able chronograph the 125 grain SST out of a 10.5 inch barrel. Do you think these have a Knouff knockdown power for a Hogg maximum range of 50 yards? I have used my 308 with the 178 grain ELDX and that thing was a monster. I would definitely love to try out this AR pistol on hogs next year. Just curious if that does have enough knockdown power

I know people shooting them to 150 yards on hogs. Shot placement is key, but it is done with 300blk a lot these days

A friend of mine shoots 110 barnes tac tx out of a 8.5” and a 9.5”, both suppressed. He hasn’t shot anything farther than 75yds with it yet, but it has been great on deer and pigs.

Thanks Wes and Jeff. I will work up load data on this. When I get the chance to go back hog hunting I will definitely use my 300 blackout instead of just shooting 308

I have killer 5 or 6 deer and a handful of hogs with my 10.5” 300 BLK. I’m shooting 110 grain V-max bullets and have been really pleased with them so far.

I have read, on line, that quite a few people are having good luck with the vmax, as a hunting round.

I have had good luck with them, I have shot a lot of critters with them out of a 16 inch rifle. I just haven’t used the pistol quite as much
