    Drivers license

Anyone else notice that today they started requiring your drivers license number be inputted in the NICS system when purchasing a gun ?

Happened today jaw hit the floor. Thank god I live in a state where I don’t have to do those checks anymore

I’m not sure. But I feel it’s way more info than they need cause we know it isn’t going to clear up any false denials

Doesnt make sense. Having a drivers license is not a requirement to buy a gun.

Luckily in my state, if we have a CCDW we don’t do the NICS checks.

Bluntly put, it doesn’t matter what they do or don’t ask for, all your info is online. Even if you are protective of your info, the banks, utilities, credit card issuers (they aren’t all banks), grocery stores, google, apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and every other place you can imagine, aren’t very protective of your data. For you it’s personal info, for them it’s just data to be exploited.

Most police departments now a days are solving as many crimes with Facebook as they are with their CSI units.
