Bluntly put, it doesn’t matter what they do or don’t ask for, all your info is online. Even if you are protective of your info, the banks, utilities, credit card issuers (they aren’t all banks), grocery stores, google, apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and every other place you can imagine, aren’t very protective of your data. For you it’s personal info, for them it’s just data to be exploited.

Most police departments now a days are solving as many crimes with Facebook as they are with their CSI units.
    Same here in MN

I’ve been giving mine for years.... nothing new to me, and it’s not Real ID, because PA isn’t compliant yet....

Here in Utah they just look at my CCW permit and write that number down.

I do seem to remember that if you used your drivers license as a form of I’d they would record that....it’s been so long that I can’t remember. Utah DL licenses aren’t “real” ID yet either....

Of course when I my DL expired a while back and I went through the airport they wouldn’t consider my CCW valid ID. I looked at the TSA agent and said, “They do a back ground check on me once a week, the FBI has vetted me, and they let me buy firearms with this card, yet I can’t board a damn plane?”

    Reloading...it’s like knitting for men.

You don't necessarily need a DL #. Its the number for whatever document you used as your identification. So it can be a concealed carry license #, DL#, ID card #, passport #, etc.

I see it as a good thing, hopefully it will reduce the number of people that get delayed.
