    Handgun bullet question

What is a good bullet, for reloading. Carrying and home protection, in 9mm and .40 that would do max damage using as protection home and away but not want pass through where it go threw walls etc. But stop intruder doing most damage without travel. And wanting to stay away from lead. Question for someone else but figured as many on here get honest answer unlike gun store where they try sell most expensive

Well, I can't speak for human impact, but I prefer my XTP. My carry 9 is actually the Critical Defense by Hornady, but I have the XTP as backup. The critical defense isn't available for reloading. But I wish it was. Most expanding hollow points slow way down on impact, as a lot of the inertia is spread through the expansion. They also result in higher damage to the target.

Prolly expensive arent they? Watch price forgot several times long ago have clip with good protection ammo at the time. Go to range forget to change clip. Or while shooting lol pick up wrong clip then realize to late was clip not for paper

He shooting hps now. When got away from lead what use call wad cutters for paper. Was outta copper rn and got hp on sale since outta the other. Think been shooting hp xtrem not 100% sure. Was just looking for good "protection" all around bullet. But always remember saying something about afraid a bullet pass threw then go threw a wall down the street. Like game of pool
