    Steel Targets

Anybody have any good prices on steel targets? Ideally something not overly heavy since I will be packing it to and from the range, but something that will hold up to magnum handguns (357 Mag, 460 Rowland, etc) at 10-15 yards and rifles (5.56, 6mm Rem, 30-06, etc) at longer ranges. These could possibly end up being 2 separate targets, one for rifle and one for handguns.

Forget type steel needed. You can call local companys that sell it and ask about scrap pieces. Won't give it away but normally sell cheap or tell who has there scrap from larger projects.

That would be ok for rifle but that stuff will pit from handguns and then you get richochets. Especially when shooting them with 22 after they are pitted from larger calibers.

Its same as ranges buy for targets. But after pieces cut on order they have left overs. To expensive to throw away and calculate most per sheet. There left with smaller pieces they will sell them. Not talking regular steel. But steel they make actual targets with for ranges. Or if someone wants there own target to take to range to shoot. Dont have buy the scrap pieces they cut any size.
