    Die Selection for Long Range

What dies do you guys recommend for precision reloading? I've got a 30-06 that I will be loading for, most likely in a Dillon 650, but if I have poor results I'll go to a single stage.

Anyway, it seems like the Redding dies with the adjustable micrometer for bullet seating would be the way to go, but I am open to suggestions.

    redding are nice.
I have never had an issue with just good ole RCBS Dies for stuff like 30-06 though.
30-06 is not normally a real 'Match" round.
If I was doing 6.5 family, 6mm, 338 Lapua, etc, I would go with better brand name dies probably

Just dash my dreams away Wes haha

I may pickup a 243 or 6.5 in the future for my wife to use and shoot some long distance. My range only goes out to 1100 yards so I am not stretching things out to extreme long range by any means.

    Wasn't trying buddy!!
30-06 is a great round, and has its place for sure, just not as a long range shooter that is accurate, like some of the modern calibers.

Well it's what I have. haha Worst case I just keep it for hunting and switch to something better for long range. This '06 is just a cheap Savage 110 that I got from Walmart back when I was in college.
