    Cci 450

    Can I use cci 450 primes for .223 got a package of 1,000 55 gr and brass from sage. .223 calls for 400/small primers but a have a boat load of cci 450. Thanks

    Yep. No issue with them. May not want a MAX load, but any decent middle of the road load should be just fine.
    I would check a few loads and work them up

    I’ve used them in 223 before with no issues. Just work up like Wes said.

    FOR ME - - -> I Use CCI450,CCI250,and Fed215 for most everything. This way if I happen to use a hard to ignite powder,I got the primers already seated in the brass. Check the reloading manuals. There are a bunch of loads that reccomend mag primers. There are no loads that say you can't use them but common sense prevails.
    My rule is . . . if I switch from regular to mag primer,I drop back one full grain of powder. ---- SAWMAN
