This batch is 4.4 grains of HP-38 under a 230 grain Xtreme RN. The bullet moves along right at 720 fps which puts me right on the edge of making power factor for both IDPA and USPSA. If I am shooting a match where there is a chrono I bump it up another .1 just to be on the safe side.

I also love the look of SWC . I use 230gr LSWC, I got from a guy in Alaska, it's all I load for plinking and sometimes competition. I use VV N310 for competition and either bullseye or unique for plinking.
However, I just got talked into using titegroup, so we'll see how those loads turn out.

200gr xtreme fp w/ 4.2 bullseye is a sweet soft shooting round
I load 185noslers with 8gr unique
200gr extremes I run 7gr unique
185gr gold dots get the same 8gr unique or 8.5gr sillouette
Anybody running 200 gr RN Xtreme's with Titegroup? I've ran right up to my book max with it (5.3 gr) and in both my XDs and 1911 Factory 230 gr loads are faster still...
Love loading for and shooting the 45 ACP!
It's been my primary carry gun for many years now, decades actually. Have one Kimber I bought new in 1997, first year of the Yonkers Kimber 1911's. It was my duty gun throughout most of my law enforcement career, and now has roughly 85,000 rounds through it.
Normally I load 230 gr FMJ/hardball type rounds, usually with Bullseye or Unique, though I've also used W231 with complete satisfaction. I understand that there are newer, better powders, but that's what I've got in quantity.
In recent years I've been messing around more with 185 & 200 gr bullets. Getting great results!

The new replacement Kimber 1911 and 7 yard group:
I'm kinda stuck on 1911's and the 45 ACP cartridge. I like other guns, but this is "my" gun.

That’s awesome! And from a fellow Washingtonian too. Bellingham here.
I’ve got test loads worked up for my 45, now I just gotta get to the range to let them fly. 200 gn HP’s, here’s hoping they work out well.

Here's one of my favorite's for plinking with my 1911's:
Acme 175gn SWC-NLG
Hi-Skor 700X @ 5.0gn
OAL 1.255
Avg. Velocity 790fps
Another I load and shoot regularly:
Extreme 200gn RNCP
IMR Target @ 5.5gn
OAL 1.268
Avg. Velocity 798fps
Sadly the days of natural selection removing the idiots and keeping the gene pool clean are behind us now...
