    Depriming Brass

I have a number of 5.56 brass that is proving difficult to decap.
I am wondering if there is some trick to these that I am missing.
They are sealed with a red substance.
    Any input would be appreciated.

They have the headstamp IK 13 (could be 1K) 5.56x45
Sorry about the pic quality. Hard to hold light, camera, and magno glass at the same time.

I looked it up. I found a forum that told what it is. It's IK = Igman Zavod, Konjic, Yugoslavia. They said the flash hole is smaller than regular brass.

Use a Lee Universal de-primer. I use one for all my de-priming.

May be a job for the Mighty Armory decapping die with the smaller size pin! Got mine setup finally, and wow, bangs them out like the old drop forge at the Crescent wrench factory... (their plant was just down the street from my high school back in NY state, wow, what a noise they made!!).

That red substance is called primer sealer, it`s used to help secure the primer and keep water from getting in. If you are decapping by hand, you just need a little more umph. They come out and can be reloaded.
