    Very fortunate. I have had a ruger blackhawk explode in my hand. Luckily nobody was hurt. And that my friends is why you never let someone talk to you while you're loading ammo. Double charged a test load. It was supposed to be 8gr of 231.

    Wow, glad you're OK!

    I like to use something like this, a dental scaper, to run inside the case to feel for any cracks/separations/aberrations, etc.

    Pick up a broken shell extractor for an AR. I leave it in my range bag just in case. I have never needed to use it, but had had case separation with 22lr before.
