    I'm using the barska 125x spotting scope. I picked it up to help with sight in day at my shooting club. Wanted to get something that I wouldnt go berserk if someone accidentally bumped it. I have used it to spot out to 500 yards plan to try it out to 1000 this spring. It's not the best and it's not the clearest glass I've seen but I'm pretty happy for under $200. The scope and a thrift store camera tripod have served me pretty well over the past 7-8 years.

    I have read a lot of both products from British guys. I haven't delved into checking where either company is located. Maybe they are British. Hawke started out making scopes for springer air rifles. Those will beat H out of scopes. So, they make a very solid scope. One of my friends turned me onto Athlon. He really liked them and shot some great groups with them so I picked one up and like it. Haven't actually shot it a ton though.
