It is to make them more accurate. It disperses the weight differently, and the HP fills with air in flight and makes its own "Bubble" of disturbed air to travel in. Normslly HP bullets are longer and have more bearing surface in the barrel as well, which helps with stabilityOriginally Posted by ROB
