I use AA-2 and small pistol magnum primers.

I'd like a good powder i could use for both if possible. Wes suggested aa7 or aa9 for 158gn mag loads using mag primers.
Others have suggested h110 for 125 gn 38 spl using small pistol primers. Also heard titegroup for 125 gn 38 spl. Im not opposed to different powders if I am getting good results

Titlegroup, Bullseye, h110, Bluedot, even 700x is good. I only use magnum primers for my H110 rounds.
I've used Bullseye and Win231/HP38 with regular primers for general range/target use. Generally speaking, the powder determines the type of primer (magnum or regular).

Do you want hot loads or plinkers? I use a lot of Unique for light to mid level loads. Use a slower powder for hotter ones. I have used 231, Unique, Bullseye and others for the two calibers you listed. Best powder depends on their use.
Plinkers

AA#2 for the 38spl
AA#7 or AA#9 for 357 Mag.
To get the right velocities and recoil for both calibers, that is what I do.
AA#2 will do both, but the 357 mag loads will be slower shooting, with more recoil using #2
