    22-250

I got a TC Venture 22-250 a while back that I plan on using for varmints up to 500yards or so. It has a 22" with 1-12 twist. What bullet weight/ powder combo would be most likely work best with that twist rate? Any advice or tips as this is a new caliber to me?
On hand I have 40,50, and 55 grain v-max bullets and IMR 4198, Varget, and RL-15.

50 or 55gr for that distance.
May want to look for slow buring powders with the highest velocity in your books.
Long, slow push for max velocity will be the best for 500+ yards

    I shoot 50 grain Z-Max/V-Max with a hefty dose of RL15 for my 22-250.

50 or 55gr with IMR4064. But both varget and RL15 would be good choices too.

I used IMR3031 and then varget when it came out. I don't know about everyone else's experience but i didn't notice any significant difference between the 50 to 55 gr bullet. As far as accuracy. I would suggest Varget over the IMR though. All the 250's ive had liked the high side of the load range for 3031 while the Varget was around the midway point.
