Nothing. Armorers wrench is all you need. Make sure you torque the barrel nut to specs and you should be good. Sometimes the delta ring can be a pain in the ass tho to get off if you have one.

Cody I'd also get a dimple jig and dimple the barrel. Gas blocks can move out of alignment and cause malfunctions. Pinning is overkill, but atleast dimple it.Sent from my SM-N910V using TapatalkOriginally Posted by CodySPowell

What gas block are you using? Good idea to dimple the front as well? Simple to do. Just a suggestion.

Easy peasy!I picked up a Bear Creek arsenal 16" .223 Wylde barrel (1:9) and want to swap out my factory barrel on my S&W M&P Sport 15.
The factory barrel is also 16" and 1:9 twist.
Is there any particular things I need to be concerned with swapping barrels?

Dual set screw type. The barrel had a pretty deep dimple from the factory. I feel confident with the dimple and Loctite I should be good to go.
