Well today was a bust. My fault completely for not triple checking but I had a few FTF and several FTE. checked the headspace on my brass formed and fired and I think I need to bump the shoulder back a bit. I was nervous I’ll admit but the first few that fired calmed my nerves. I need to realign my gas block because that was way out of line. Didn’t even pretend it wanted to eject. I didn’t save any papers from the range because I only shot 10 rounds and ran out of time. My bolt does not like R-P brass at ALL. extracted didn’t even grip the case rim and I had to get a rod to remove a FTF. Also had trouble with FC brass but the NATO worked alright. Back to the drawing board! Lots of rounds to pull and resize!

The loaded round pictured was stuck in my chamber and the bolt wouldn’t grab the case head.

Well they’re all done and retumbled ready for me to load again. I had to polish up the pilot bit on the trimmer. Some fool left some nickel plated brass at the range and I’m gonna try it out. Here’s some of the brass I’m using. R-P wasn’t a huge success yesterday but we will see this next go around with proper head-spacing (hopefully).

    RANGE REPORT!
Finally!! I readjusted my dies and bumped the shoulders back about 20thou. That was my big issue before. I was about 60ish yards away from the target and not shooting for groups. Honestly wasn’t sure if I’d even hit paper given I only had 6 or fewer rounds through it the first time shooting.
It was cold as shit, about 25°. Not sure what to think about velocities or how temperature sensitive aa1680 is. First few shots were close to center and as I kept shooting impact shifted high left and stayed. Brass got a little chewed up as I played with my gas block. May need to try heavier buffer as well.

I made all shots in the same string with my chronograph so I had to get do the math by hand for each load.. sorry if it looks bad but that’s what I was looking at today. Any input would be awesome
