Shoot. Sorry, but I already sold this a while back.
I'm looking into casting but would like to learn from someone in the Seattle area that would be willing to teach me. I'd offer lead as collateral for your time and effort. Thanks!
How so? I'm learning so please share any info.
Thanks! I may start with a small 10 pound weight and see how it forms and shoots.
If it's good quality, then I'll buy more. :)
I would only be casting for pistol so 9mm and 45ACP. I think it should be good enough since it would just be for plinking.
I want to start casting so I'm still pretty new and trying to research as much as I can.
But it sounds like this might be worth it to pick up a pound or hundred since it's a good price.
I have the opportunity to purchase boat lead from a company that dismantles and recycles boats.
He's selling it at $1.25 per pound and has over 3000 pounds.
I imagine I'll need to find a way to...

Includes the Locking block kit and the thread protector so it's ready to be dropped in.
Only about 100 rounds through it so it's almost new.

I always use Lake City brass when converting to 300BO. I've also used Federal Cartridge Company too.
Here's a link to a site that gives the recommended .223 brass to convert.

You got it!
Thought I'd give this a try.
.223 Speer Nickel brass resized to 300 Blackout and loaded with a 168gr Hornady Z-Max bullet.
If it works, I make a special batch.

So I did my first batch of rotary tumbled .223 and I'm mixed on the results.
When I used my vibratory tumbler with Corn Cob media, it was pretty simple.

Perfect. That's what I needed to know!
Thanks, but are you tumbling 9mm with 40S&W with 45ACP?
I know that in the vibratory tumbler they 9mm brass would fit in the 45ACP and get stuck so they wouldn't clean properly.
Same situation...
Finally got all my components to start wet tumbling.
Next question is regarding the cases.
Do you follow the same rule of only tumbling similar brass as with the vibratory tumbler?
I assume...
Exactly! I was only shooting maybe 6 times a year at the indoor range but after reloading, I'm there every other week!
And I also picked up some other calibers just so I could reload those as...
I have the EZ Rotary Separator. That should work, right?
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I went and ordered the Frankford Arsenal Wet Tumbler, Media transfer magnet and Brass Dryer
Can't wait to give wet tumbling a try!
Sold....
I'm considering making the leap into Wet Tumbling using the Frankford Arsenal Platinum Rotary Tumbler.
I've been using their Quick-N-EZ vibratory tumbler for years and haven't had any issues.

From what Wes told me, the manufacturer is not planning on making any more which is why there's such a short supply of these bullets and why everyone was buying them up.
In!!!
Thanks everyone. I have the MTM Ammo Crates for most of my ammo and they have the 100 round plastic boxes in them.
I do label these with the bullet weight and powder type/charge.
