Just wondering how to add the nufinish. Should I dump some in and run it for a while and then add brass? Or do I need to him out the polish first?

Put some in and let it run and disperse before you add the brass or it'll cake up on some of the brass. Also add just a little mineral spirits to it. It helps with cutting the dust down.

Now that's with corn cob media. Walnut media will become a red past from the dust

I add maybe half a capful of NuFinish and let tumble empty for 10-15 minutes. Works great and prevents any tarnishing while prepped cases are stored.

Thanks guys. I let it run with just the polish for 10 to 15 minutes and it mixed right in. Now to see how the brass comes out.
It should be nice and shiny.

I only had a chance to run it 45 min but the cases already looked shiner than they ever have been. Not that they need to be shiny to function.

I use NuFinish also. My "typical" is to viberate about 50-75 pieces of rifle brass at a time.
I get her going and dump in the NuFinish. Five minutes later I put in the brass. It is always mixed brass. Some 45-70 and 444Marlin size, some 300BLK size.
My media is walnut because I get it free. I have a buddy that wet tumbles but I consider that a PITA. --- SAWMAN
I have a squirt bottle with a 50/50 mix of nu-finish and mineral spirits mix. I put in my brass and give a little squirt, about a half ounce every time.
Walnut lizard media, never had a clumping issue
Thanks for that idea.

I've always put in lizard litter, brass, lizard litter, mineral spirits, wax, then turned it on. Never thought about premixing the mineral spirits and wax, or about running the tumbler to mix it up first. They've always come out nice and shiny, but might have to try those ideas.
I use it also. It's great.
I use straight Walnut for dirty brass. Range pick ups.
For brass that isn't really dirty I use 50/50 Walnut and corn cob . I use 100 % corncob to clean the brass after it is loaded.
Nufinsh is always added.
