    7mm ring

I am getting this little ring near the top of the bullet. Seating depth is right. Not sure what to do. You can barely feel the ring but is noticeable. New 7mm die (RCBS).

The Die is contacting the bullet right there. A lottle polishing inside the seater stem will fix that.
Super fine sandpaper, or a dremel with diamond polish will help out for sure.
The ring won't hurt anything, but isn't pretty to most people

Wes is right, my rcbs competition dies done that. It went away on its own. But my lee dies I buffed them until it went away.

To add to this you might try putting a slight flare on the case to lesson the force needed to seat the bullet. Lee makes a really nice flaring die that will kiss the case neck and really makes a difference.

Alternatively you can look at the various debuting tools that use an acute angle to help “ease” the bullet into the case.
