    Blackpowder

Does anyone know if I could use a pistol caliber bullet for my black powder rifle. Specidically it is a CVA Optima V2. I'm looking for a more cost effective way to target shoot that rifle without buying PowerBelts at $2 a bullet.

I know a few people shoot standard 50cal pistol bullets in them.
May be able to do a sabot round with 45cal bullets as well

My CVA wolf shoots 240 grain saboted bullets very well, also shoots patched round ball good enough to plink with.

I cast for my .50 cal, and have found them to be more accurate and more cost effective! Let
Me know if you want /need some.

If you want to shoot inexpensively what is wrong with a good old fashioned patched round ball?

Patched round balls work for plinking. I picked up a bunch of packs of bullets with sabots at Walmart after hunting season one year at a big discount. Think they were 44 cal 240 grain. They load easy and I think the sabot scrapes some of the unburnt powder out of the rifling. I use pyrodex by the way.
