I finally got out to the range and shot the Grendel. I loaded Hornady 129 gr Interlock, Hornady 95 gr. V-Max, and Nosler 120 BT. IMG_2890.jpegIMG_2890.jpegIMG_2889.jpegIMG_2888.jpeg
The groups are not what I wanted, it was cold and I did not have enough of a coat. Going to load up some more and give it another try on a warmer day.

Looks like the vmax was trying to be ok. I’m curious what seating depth you were using on the 120gr ballistic tip?

The weather is supposed to be beautiful Sunday.

I am working overtime today (Saturday) have my regular shift tomorrow and work more overtime on Monday. I will look and let you know the OAL. I am going to repeat these loads to see if they react the same on a warmer day.

Nosler recommends 2.245” for the 120gr ballistic tips. The reason I bring this up is because of the horizontal stringing in that group with the ballistic tips. A lot of times horizontal like that can be fixed with seating depth. It may be worth trying the Nosler seating depth to see what happens.
