    Powder Coating Hollow base bullets

Powder Coating with hollow base bullets: I'm going to get my Danish Rolling Block shooting again. I had just gotten the rifle back. Formally I had shot BP loads with the Lee 405gr. hollow base bullet. I had hand lubricated those bullets with SPG. Hand lubing under the circumstances is messy and wasteful.

The hollow base Lee bullets are less by 004 than the groove diameter than the old RB. BP loads gave excellent accuracy. I do want to make up some smokeless loads using 45-70 data and 5744. How do you think powder coating would work on this hollow base bullet? The bullets will be unalloyed lead. The bore is excellent.

After you shake them in the powder have to take the out one at at time and tap them on something the powder should fall out.

Should be fine with smokeless .
I've watched the process come of age , not a user .
