    My 450Bushmaster

I picked up a CVA 450B several months ago. The bbl was 25 inches and i loved that for the added vels.
However,it got heavy and hard to swing sitting in my buggy without striking a roll bar.
So i had it chopped to 16.5 inches and tapered to blend with a very efficient brake.
My loads nowadays are medium pressure loads using AA5744 and max loads of TRAIL BOSS.
I am shooting the Hornady 200 and 250 FTX and some 250gr M/L bullrts that a friend gave me. --- SAWMAN

I'm new here and don't have any time in with the 450 . I have dabbled in the 45-70 , 45 Raptor , Colts and Schofield in carbines .

For your use you're probably right about where you need to be for powder available and bullets .
I've shot a bunch of SWC and RNFP from 200-350 gr in both .452&.458 grooves with cast bullets and Unique to get the velocities your after .

Seen it firsthand and got my 450 marlin handi rifle chopped at the same shop. The guy who did his 450 is an artist.

That’s awesome. I’m currently looking for a single shot 357 magnum to have reamed out to 357 maximum, I’d like to get the barrel cut down too (when I actually get one).
