    Hornaday .223 55gr HPBT COL?

Anyone have a preferred cartridge overall length for the subject projectile? If I seat to the cannula, it looks like it will be too deep. Compared to a FMJ btwc, the hollow points are about .013" longer. And the cannula is closer to the tip than fmj.
I tried a dummy round and am at 2.230" I can set it down to 2.200" like the other 55g in the hornady manual, but wanted to ask others who have loaded these.
Brass is mixed and prep'd by Wes to 1.750", 22.5gr H335, 16" AR, 1:9 twist, and I use a Lee FCD, so the cannula doesn't matter.

    Hornaday .223 55gr HPBT COL?

I have not loaded that particular 55gr HPBT before, but in the past I have loaded Sierra 55gr HPBT, and I used the length from their manual of 2.240” with good results. That is what they use for their AR data. Their bolt action data is at 2.220”. I don’t know if that helps you out or not, but it’s all I’ve got.

That brackets what I have, so maybe I'll try it there... thanks!
