Small base vs. full length dies

I searched but did not find an answer to my question.
I'll be reloading .308 for an AR-10, and want to know if full length resizing with standard dies is ok, or would I need to step up to small base dies? Also, I have been reloading 30-06 for a bolt gun and use full length dies to only neck size to my rifle's chamber. Would it be okay to full length resize with standard dies for an M1 Garand, or would I need small base dies for that also?

    Thanks
    Ken

Most times, regular full length dies will do the trick. Usually, the only time small base dies are required, is if you have a rifle with an extremely tight chamber, or are using brass that was fired in something that had an extremely large sloppy chamber.

You should be just fine with full length sizing die. It’s rare you would need sb dies unless your chamber was tight and didn’t like regularly sized brass
