TAC Powder for 5.56x45 and 7.62x51

    Hello gents and maybe ladies,
I have 13lbs of TAC that Iwouldlike to use. I am almost out of WC-844 (probably used close to 40 pounds so far)
I lost contact with a reloader at my LGS. I do remember him saying that TAC works best for .............. I don't remember if it was lighter weight bullets or stuff like the 77gr bullets?
My goal is to use the most optional powder.

    First firearm is a Ruger AR-15 M-4, 16" barrel, 7" twist.
What bullet weights does it do best with in 5.56x45? I have 55gr FMJ and SP, 62gr FMJ, 62gr SS 109( I treat it as 69gr for load data)

Will TAC work well in 7.62x51/.308, .30-06?

    My 7.62x51 is a DPMS AR-10, 16" barrel, 10" twist
The bullets for my 7.62x51 are:
    125gr Nosler
    150gr Hornady Interlock and SST.
    150gr FMJ
    155 gr Match Open Tip
    168gr Sierra HPBT
    168gr Sierra Moly HPBT

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

I use TAC in 5.56 with 69-75gr bullets, and in 7.62 with 165/168gr bullets. It’s my favorite powder in those 2 rifles.

I have only ever used it with those bullet weights in those calibers, I believe it is more versatile than that though. A quick scan on westerns web site should let you know which bullet weights it is suitable for.

I use TAC in my AR 223 Wilde. I have great luck with the 55 grain fmj and V-Max. I have also used it for the SS109 with good success. I have been using 23.1 grains on the 55 V-Max. I do not remember the charge for the SS109.

    Currently reloading for .380 ACP, 9MM,327 Federal Mag, 38 Special, .357 Mag, 40 S&W, 44 Mag, 45 ACP, .458 Socom, .223 Remington, 22-250,7MM Remington Mag, 30-06 and 340 Weatherby Mag, 50 Beowolf
