    Too busy to reload?!?!?

With 3 kids in football, and running them all over north Texas 6 nights a week, I’ve found precious little time at the bench. Ive finally got a couple things in the works though. I’ll start some new threads when I get them ready. First I’ve got some Norma 6.5-284 brass fully prepped in the tumbler. My plan for them is 140gr Speer gold dots for a good hunting load. Second, I have a bunch of PPU 7.5x55 brass all prepped and ready for the tumbler. I’m going to load some odds and ends 30 caliber bullets, I have laying around, just to get some trigger time with the rifle and get used to it before I start any real load development.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who hasn’t been behind the bench much. Too much going on and too tired to focus. Plus I’ve got a wedding to plan and moving shortly after

I haven’t had my reloading stuff set up in two years. We just keep having a hard time finding a home large enough for my family and my hobbies.

Lucky for me I have access to a workshop and can do some tinkering, just not reloading....

    6.5 - 284 . . . everything a 6.5Creedmoor wants to be.
Absolutely love that chambering. It would be more popular if people would/could "understand" it. --- SAWMAN

Got a buddy that owns one of the BIG Savage guns chambered in 6.5-284. He shoots (and wins) F Class with it. --- SAWMAN

Mine is just a sporter I had put together, back before it was a factory chambering. It has been a great hunting rifle.

What's even worse is having all the time in the world to reload and not bring able to. I have a grade 1 AC separation in my right shoulder and was out of work for a month. Tons of brass to process but can't pull the handle .

Just don't tell my wife how much any of this really costs.

I just switched to day shift, i used to do all of my reloading at night while everyone else slept. Now I don’t have time to except for on my days off. Even then I don’t really spend much time at the bench because we’re currently fostering a Great Pyrenees puppy, and he can and will destroy destroy a great deal of stuff if left alone long enough.

I have been getting some time here and there to try powder coating some of the bullets I cast a few weeks back though. Maybe I’ll get to load them up when the weather gets cold.
