    25-45 Sharps.....

I have a stripped upper and lower sitting here waiting for me make up my mind about what caliber to build. I also have a metric fuckton of 25 caliber pills that I will never use in my 25-06. So I am leaning towards the 25-45. I can make the brass easy enough. I already have 2 in 556 so I just don't see the point in another. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it?

What weight bullet works best with the 25-45 ?? Never ran one but am very familiar with the 300BLK.
I would think that the bullets <90gr would be best with the 25 unless you want to dabble in the sub/sup game. --- SAWMAN

Looks like H335 and H322 are indicated with the lighter bullets. That will give you approx. 3000fps from the "longer" barrels.
There is tons of info out there. GOOGLE is your friend. --- SAWMAN

I have 2 25-45s and love them. I'm getting about 2,750fps out of my 18 inch barrel with H322 and 87 grain soft points. They work well on deer and pigs. I haven't shot an animal over about 150 yards but have killed 2 deer and 9 hogs and only recovered 2 bullets.
