Awhile back ago I picked up bullet swage equipment from Corbin. A year or so later I got a pretty good deal on some jackets designed for a 408 Cheytac. I figured I could draw them down to use as 338 jackets.

It took awhile but I finally got the tooling built for my press and gave it a test today. I have a draw die for .375-.338 cal. I needed an intermediary die to get the .408 cal jackets closer to the .375.

Worked out pretty slick. Turns out I can also anneal 9mm and 223 brass and draw them down for jackets too. I gave it a shot and it worked like a charm. Forgot to take pictures.

It my first real project on a Lathe. The steel is unknown but I suspect it’s 1018 cold roll or something similar. The threads look like crap.

I’ll make a new die out of O1 and give it a proper heat treat. The die holder looks rough, but it works...I still might get some 12L14 and redo it. I hate leaving stuff with a rough finish.
