    K31 Swiss 7.5x55

I put a scope on my k31 today, as soon as my fl die shows up I will start testing loads for it. I’ve got ppu and Norma brass. I am going to start load development with Berger 175gr vld hunting bullets, with IMR4350, H4350, RL17, and RL19. I’ve also got 4 or 5 different 165gr hunting type bullets that I will try, but will mainly focus on the Berger for now. What’s worked well for you guys, if anyone shoots one of these? Any tips or wisdom that anyone would like to share?

That is a nice K31. Where did you get that scope mount?

Thanks! The scope mount is from “Bad Ace Tactical”.

It is very hard to beat gp11 Swiss surplus. Be careful of your Bullet length as the throats are very short. Dies do matter. Some are made for the K31 chamber and others for the slightly different M1911 chamber. Good luck!

    K31 Swiss 7.5x55

I shot the last 8 shots out of a box of PRVI made wolf premium gold, to get the scope sighted in. I got a couple of 2-3” groups out of it. I’ve read about the awesomeness of the GP11 surplus ammo, but will not be buying any more ammo for it now that I have over 200 pieces of brass.

Thank you for the heads up on the dies and the seating depths. I did a little more digging on line after you mentioned it and saw exactly what you are saying, and I checked all my manuals, each one that uses a 1911 has seating depths much too long for the k31. Thanks again!

My fl die ended up being for the 1911 chamber. I went ahead and sized all my ppu brass with it, but am going to get Hornady k31 dies before I size the Norma brass.
