Eld x jacket separation in 6.5 cm

I shot a prs match yesterday and one of the guys said these rounds have a problem. I'm going to reload for it when I get my rings for my rpr. But what grn bullet should I stay away from? Or is this isolated?

I don't recall the specs, he did say it was lower than max. I was just wondering if it is a well known issue like he made it out to be.

I haven’t had a problem with any that I’ve shot. Even at 800 they haven’t separated. I know if twist is super fast that can happen.

If your gonna do PRS I’d look at the RDF 140gr

I'm currently in Eastern Montana where the coyotes are thick and the shots can get long.

I haven't ever shot competition, or a 6.5 creedmoor, but I've run the 123 gr eld-m's in my .260 out to 1015 and haven't noticed an issue. Don't know it this helps you at all...

I haven’t heard any of this....my guess is isolated incident or bad batch. But I’ll let you know in two weeks after I break in my 6.5-06. I should be pushing 200+FPS more than a creedmore with my 143ELDx. 27.5” 1-8 @3000-3100fps is gonna spin them pretty hard.

I'd love to build a 6.5-06! I'd love to build everything cool though, and time & money are the only things stopping me!!!

I sure hope it ends up cool. I ran out of time to do load development. I leave Wednesday for WY on an Antelope hunt. And my fancy bang stick is staying home.
Next time I build a 6.5 it will use factory ammo. That way if I don’t have time to load, I can go buy it. Or maybe like a 260AI so it will shoot factory 260 or I can load long and powder up custom ammo.
