    458 Socom Optic Recommendations Needed

Hey my 458 Brothers. I currently have a reflex 1x red/green dot on my 458 and would like to upgrade to something better. You folks have any recommendations that will not kill my bank account. Not sure which optics can handle the shock from a 458 AR.

I found a cheap 3-9X32 scope on Amazon for $45. Will see if it will hold up to the recoil. It should be here Wednesday. Will take it to the shooting range on Friday.

Check out CamerlandNY. They carry Hawke scopes and my buddy got me onto them. He had 2K rounds through his Lapua Mag with one of their $600 scopes on it. No issues at all. It was the Sidewinder 30 6-24 power I believe. Brain is tired. Doug at Cameraland runs a lot of specials on Hawke and others. Especially around Holidays of course. They have open box and demo specials too. I got a $1600 scope on the cheap from them a while back. Many of the Hawkes are designed for use with Springer style air guns, they take a beating. Good luck!

Here is one that might work slick if the Amazon scope dies.

My BIL had a $1xx.00 red dot die in less than 5 rounds on his Beowulf. So, good luck.

I had a $29.99 red dot on it before but could not see through it good enough to get it sighted in.

Got to shoot my Socom today with the new scope. I did not have a great bench rest, it was raining and wind was blowing about 20 mph cross wind. I bore sighted to get started. Shot 4 rounds at 50 yards. Scopes seems to be working. I will take it out again soon and start the ladder test to find a good load.
