In .308 I used Federal Premium with 150gr NBT for years until I couldn't find factory ammo anymore. I changed over to Hornady Factory Load 150gr SST since. I just started reloading but I can tell you the 150s either NBT or SST are great. All animals I have taken with both dropped in their tracks.

I used 180gr SSTs out of my 3006 and they are devastating. I’m considering going to a lower weight bullet because of the amount of damage it caused with out hitting bone. But with a behind it the shoulder double lung hit not a lot or meat is lost anyway.

This is my hunting load. It has already taken a nice 9-point buck last fall. Shoots very well to long distances too.

Took him at 144 yards. Couldn’t have asked for a better performance from me, the rifle, the load, or the bullet. I’m sold on TMKs

Nice buck. Both of these gentlemen chose to participate in ballistics research last fall. Both were taken with 165 grain Nosler Accubonds over 51 grains of H335 in a .30-06. Both were dead right there.

I've used the 150 gr Sierra GK in my 308 for over 20 yrs now and have never been let down. I assume the pro hunters would be just as good. I use 165gr Rem Corelock in the '06 with great results.
