Thanks, worked up some test loads today with IMR 4895 because that's what I have on hand. Used WinLR primers. Looks like around 30 grains is my best group. Btw, these were my first reload rounds I sent down range!

That 29gr load shows some promise too. If it wasn’t for that one flyer, looks like it would’ve been an inch group.

Yah, I will have to try the min 28.7 and work it up to around 30 grains. I'm trying to get a coyote, so I'm happy with sub 2 inch groups. I'm also not a racing gun guy either. A coyote won't know the difference between 300 fps when you hit him haha.

I’ve never heard a coyote complain about velocity.

If I were choosing a bullet (for use in rifles) for non big game critters it would be something >71grs. Hopefully I could get an accurate load out of the 55,58,or 60gr bullets. This, given I did not care about pelt damage.
I would want the speed for trajectory purposes, rotational velocity for terminal ballistics, and the thin jacket of a purposely designed varmint bullet.
My 14" pistol does not like the lighter bullets. It's favorite are the 85 and 95gr bullets . . . max fast. --- SAWMAN

SAWMAN, I wanted something close to my 100 gr deer hunting rounds. I may get some Hornady 58, 65, or 75gr Vmax to try out as well. Here in Pennsylvania, I will be shooting a max of 200 yards at most times.

I have had quite a bit of success with the hornady 75gr vmax in both 6mm/varget and 243/h4895

I have no idea what the hell I am doing.
So I just keep shooting. It all works out in the end.
