I also owned the first 14" Contender chambered in 444Marlin in the state of Maine and possibly all of New England. Same with a 375JDJ.
Anyone remember SSK (J.D. Jones) ?? I did quite a bit of buisness with him in his "before anyone had heard of SSK" years.
The shooters in Maine could not believe why someone would want/need a pistol chambered in 444Marlin. They told me that it would "blow up". I shot book max loads out of it with the new (back then) Hornady 265gr.
Keep at it guys. I,for one,am interested. And thanks Wes for a forum where we can share ideas, info, and expierances. --- SAWMAN

I understand putting your own twist on things. But, some of the stuff is outright theft I think
One of the reasons I don't like the cm besides it being a big marketing scam. Guys were talking about the 22 cm guess it totally ripped off the 22/243 which has been around forever. The new 8.4 or 8.6 cm that they are developing I read totally ripped off the 338 Federal. Thievery just sours me. I will never own a cm product. Realistically I can get a .260 AI or a .243 AI that smokes both their big scam calibers. If I want a 22 cal I won't go cm. I will go 224 Texas Trophy Hunter, 22/243, 219 Zipper Improved, etc. They just offered a little different twist in barrels when the industry was moving from varmint hunting to more long distance shooting and tried to capitalize. Which they did do, but stealing ideas is crap IMO.

Very first yeti round! Starting with 33gr aa1680 at 2.295 C.O.L. Using Hornady 200gr FTX bullets. May be a few months before I get to shoot it but I’ll be ready for the range!
