Primers

So I have only ever used CCI (small rifle not BR) primers as that is what is easily available everywhere here. A friend just gave me some federal gm205m small rifle. First I have never had a misfire or any issues with CCI. So my 2 questions are how good is federal and do I have to work up my load again using federal instead of CCI basically how difference will they make in my load.

I am a big fan of Federal match primers for my precision rifle loads. However, I have also seen amazing differences in POI and velocities just from changing primers. I'd recommend you back off your load a little (especially if it is hot) and work up again with a chronograph and keeping an eye on pressures. Just my thoughts, ymmv.

I agree, if you’re loading generic loads to plink, it might not be a big deal....

If you’re loading submoa, you gotta take some notes and send a few down the pipe again.
