I have been casting and shooting Zinc bullets for a little over 3 years now. They are 60% lighter (147gn lead = 90 gn Zinc) (180gn lead = 113gn Zinc).

Well I do not post much but was busy casting ZInc bullets for my 38/357 - 9mm - 300 BO - 30-06. Went through about 50 lbs of zinc. I have been casting and shooting Zinc bullets about 4 years now....
Box came a day early - And opening it completly duled my chain saw blade, but I git it open! Beautiful 300 BO 223 LC brase caonverted.
Sharpened my chain saw today - my box of 300 BO LC head stamp converted is on its way should be here Saturday....
I have mine several years now. Have primed 1,000's of of brass. Works like a charm
I am looking for a Lyman 225-450 bullet mold if any one has one they are looking to sell
Thanks
Andy
I am looking for an old Lyman mold - Lyman 225 450
Welcome aboard. Where are you located - you might find a few people from your area on here. Lots of great info on the forum.
The red polish in the military brass is for water proofing. I would no trust what you did - it is still a loose primer pocket just kind of glued in.
Ok I guess no one has used WSH for pistol and rifle
Anyone here using Winchester WSH powder for reloading pistol and rifle reduced loads in 223 / 9mm / 38/357 / 30-06? I got a bunch of this powder for a ridiculous low price a year ago. I have worked...
After you shake them in the powder have to take the out one at at time and tap them on something the powder should fall out.
Have you gone to their website they have reloading data manual that you can down load - also you can contact them and they are very helpful
I did this transaction with Paul945. The mold was like it was never used in great condition. Fast response and fast shipping. Finalized the deal on sunday - shipped monday and I received it today.
Looks great - I do not have the Hornaday die but it probably would not be hard to make it fit other dies with just an adapter. $50 is cheap Think you could get $more for it. Just my 3 cents
Do you have the Lyman mold # - I am interested if it is the right mold. I have a 2 cavity and would like a 4 cavity my mold is the LYMAN 356637 9mm 147gr FN, BB LEAD
I live on Long Island
The HBW been loading them since 1978 in 38 special - the old load data for target loads was 2.5 - 2.8 grains of bullseye in 38. Never loaded them in 357 brass. I still load and shoot them today. I...
There is a new FB type site up - it is veteran owned - it is called Patriot-book.com might want to check it out. It is just getting started so not many on it yet but is growing every day.
I might be interested in some molds but not as a package listing the equipment would be a good place to start
Dry tumble if you like lead dust - I wet tumble does a much better job and no lead dust.
There are loads using Unique - I really do not like to put up load data - there are loads listed in some of the reloading manuals - I do not have that rifle but in my 30-06 bolt. My range is only 100...
Love mine have one of the first ones shipped. See my u-tube channel Andy79Z28 - many other videos out there with tips and tricks. I have added motorized bullet / case feeder. Really speeds things up.
Well not sure I would want all of them but listing the molds would be a start
Thanks Jay
So then I guess my estimate of 5gns of WSH should be good to go. You did not put up a graphic for the green dot powder. Thanks for all of your help.
Andy
Thanks for getting back to me - Kenny (Eagle Eye shooting) has used this bullet made in Zinc. He did use Winchester 231 and has loaded it up from 5.0grns to 6.0grns the best accuracy was 5.3grns out...
