In order to crimp consistently all your brass need to be the same length. I rarley crimp for that reason, but if you must I guess the Lee factory crimp die is the bee's knees.

You are correct I have manuals from the 60's that we're my dads. Never toss them the old Speer and Lyman books were the bomb. I you ever want to shoot cast bullets those were the two to have.

Unfortunately Herters had a proprietary shell holder and yes the handle doesn't stay up. My dad used and old towel ties in a loop around the handle over the press to keep the handle out of the way....
