I believe the definitive load for ‘40’s military was 5gr BE under a 230gr pill.
15 hours of classes considering the full processing. Or am I too low?
Yeah... bought the .357 a few years ago ... can’t justify getting rid of it to upgrade but love the side gate. Maybe something new. 4570 perhaps.
Toss ‘em ... or save for cut down
About the thickness of a dime.
I’ve been casting pistol projectiles for a while ... picked up a 55gr 224 mold last month and will be testing with the below data down the road

That’s awesome ... I’d love to look over someone’s shoulder doing a build. Understanding all the nuances ... good luck on functionality and accuracy.
Perfect.
I don’t think I’ve ever loaded to max length ... pretty much 1.155 for most all 124 round ball.
Put the bottom of the pan directly under the spout (or whatever it’s called) ... run the lever... after it’s filled you can slowly move the pan down and let the powder flow in ... have to do that...
You can buy 500 plated RN for 60 to 70 bucks ... 35 seems a tad steep for 100
3.2gr for 115gr bullet seems too light ... I used Univ for a while and if memory serves me right I think I was around 4.1gr of powder
I opted to make them myself. Don’t have specific notes in front of me but from memory.
357 shot shells.
4.5gr 700x
2 shot cards cut from cereal box or similar weight cardboard.
90gr of...
Conflicting Load Data ... big pet peeve for me. One books max is another’s low or mid-range.
Some stout DEWC with 700x and some bunny fart loads with HBWC and BE.
May be a tad fast for plated.

Cody ... realized we shared a thread on FB and are both reloading 45acp net new. Just loaded 40 coated 200gr LRN at 3.8 and 4.0 gr, BE, 2.265.
Let me know what you find to be a nice soft load...
So awesome ... thank your daughter for me.
Volunteer services... thanks for doing this.

Nice ... that’s next on the shopping list for mine ... do you notice any spray back into your face or the bolt getting gunked up?
Brownells has a go/no go gauge for primer pockets that’s a must have for reloaders.
Thanks
Ditto on the Scorpion... just a blast to shoot. Sights were a tad low to allow my fat head to get a good sight when cheek welding the brace ... had to add a dot to it.
