I used a drill press to run the end mill myself. Worked well. Patience is definitely key

I agree with Holland. I've built several AR's from the ground up but had never tackled a semi auto pistol and I've never own a Glock. It was a very intuitive assembly and incredibly simplistic. Once...
Probably not. It's an extruded powder and is big with .308 and 30-06

Wasn't too bad. I very gently used an old hammer handle as a punch. Took my time and tapped it into place. My sight tool wouldn't accommodate these tall sights.

Finally got my slide. All put together and ready for a test firing....
For initial cleaning and lube removal I use a dry walnut media. I personally use Hornady One Shot so I can't advice on a lanolin mixture that would work best. I only add NuFinish to my corn cob media...
That's real sharp looking sir! I'll be sure to post a picture when my slide arrives.

From everything I read they hold up great. Today all your parts come in don't they Holland?

I found em on eBay I do believe. It's semi extended, not as long as most extended but definitely longer than a Glock OEM magazine...
Nice! Soon it'll look like this. I'm still waiting on my slide. Week/week and half now. Merry Christmas! Again if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll help to the best of my...
Haha! Hear ya! I'm in the middle of a home remodel when bam, the budget is $1400 less. [emoji2369]

Yeah I only wanted build a custom Glock because I'm the only guy in my group of buddies that doesn't Glock. Lol. So I figured I'd best go snazzy, all American made and stuck it to their Austrian...
Nice! Hope the work goes smoothly sir. If you have any questions I'd be happy to try and help to my extent

Gen 3 Glocks are insanely simplistic. It's very easy and straight forward. There's only one spring to have to wonder about

I just ordered OEM parts for both the frame and the slide. I am using a SilencerCo threaded barrel, but all other internal parts are OEM. I'm sure I'll do some upgrades later on but to start I wanted...
I just did one myself. Very easy if you follow the instructions and watch a how to video or two on YouTube. I just used a drill press and drill press vice for the end milling and a hand drill for the...
I didn't know that Lee made that. I will be looking into that. Thanks for your $0.02!

I would personally get the Lyman case prep tool. It has five stations covering primer pocket cleaner, uniform tool, crimp removal tool, chamfer and deburing. It doesn't have a provision to trim like...
Best wishes on a speedy and strong recovery, sir.

Best part is it's just around the corner from home. I used to shoot from South to North from the edge to the farm yard but the terrain was too hilly and to get to 1k I had to shoot through a narrow...
Shoulder trouble keeping you from shooting something with a kick?

Finally got all the crops down in Michigan! Now my steel is setup out to 1K with room to go to 1200 yrds. Making winter great...
Well piecing together one may be a big leap, there are some tools specific to the AR that are useful. You can get by with just an AR armourer's wrench and upper receiver vise block, but a gas system...
Yeah I've definitely looked at that cartridge with some intrigue. I don't need another AR really, BUT, if I built another it would likely be a 6.5 Grendel.
