I'm working my 168 gn z max loads now and will be sending them from a howa 1500 with the axiom stock. Using varget, lapau brass, five shot string. starting charge @42.0 up to 43.5 in. 2 tenth increments, which would be 5% below max. I'll be watching for

I was working up a load for varget for my Remington 700 tactical. So far the rifle has surprised me and my gun dealer. I've only run maybe 50 rounds through it and it will shoot military surplus ammo at a 1 inch group at 200 yards. The varget loads have got me scratching my head as well. I started at the bottom and went up. It shoots the 41, 42, and 43 gr load damn near identical. I have all the loads between 41 and 42gr loaded but a torn rotator cuff stopped my shooting. But so far varget seems to work well.Quote:
