How do the Berry’s 9mm compare to the xtreme projectiles ? Any pros cons?
The last batch of Berry’s I got the bullets where to soft so haven’t bought Berry’s since only xtreme for me for 10mm,45,9

Berry's suck IMHO. Soft and light plating. They are pretty beat when they come right out of the box. It is why we have been an xtreme dealer for 10+ years.Quote:

Xtreme makes a much better plated bullet in my opinion. I run them in .38 Special, 9mm, .380, .45 ACP, and .45 Colt.There is very little variation in weight regardless of caliber and the plating is thicker than the Berrys. I would let you give me a box of Berrys but I'll be damned if I would be willing to pay much for them.
Xtreme have the best plating in the business. I shoot thousands a year of the 165 grain RNFP .40 caliber projectiles. Tried Berry's once when I caught them on clearance. They were so soft that my seating die was leaving indentions in them even with way more belling of the case mouths. I thought maybe I had a bad batch, but seems lots of people say they are too soft.
I've never used them in anything but my wife's .380 and they actually do pretty good (100gn HBRN) for a pocket gun (M&P 380 shield EZ). 1 7/16" pattern at 25' not to bad for a 3.6" barrel. I shoot mostly Xtreme's 124gn HP's in my 9mm and love em but there's not to much available for the .380 in plated but after seeing this thread maybe I'll try some of Xtreme's 100gn RNFP.
I like the 100gr Xtreme in all my 380's :)

Good post. I was wondering the same thing. I’ve pulled a couple Berry’s bullets and couldn’t salvage them. Haven’t had to do that to the Xtreme bullets yet..How do they stand up to the Rainier bullets?

We have some customers who like the Rainier just fine. We have been an Xtreme bullet dealer for a long time, and with our limited space in the shop, we have always stuck with hem.Quote:

All Plated bullets are supposed to be loaded the same. Low to Mid Jacketed data, or full range lead data. Most people load the Xtreme with Jacketed data, but it is always better to work up loads in your gun. All plated bullets seal the bore better than jacketed bullets, and can get a little more pressure for the same load data as jacketed

Yep, extreme hp is there target shooter. Extreme hp are not a defense bullet. I know it seems weird.
