I've never owned a 1911. I shot my friends Springfield TRP. I love it. I'm stuck between a trp and a Springfield loaded 1911. Any advice?

I currently have a kimber. If I had to do it over again I would buy a Springfield.

Are they really that simaler? I just don't know if the front checkering and sights are worth the extra $500
I wouldnt buy anything from gun control supporting springfield.
I have a Colt Gold Cup in stainless that I will never part with. There are also many different 1911s that I would be proud to own and shoot. It’s kind of hard to give advice cause it’s a personal thing.
Thanks guys. I live in California so I can't have Remington's or colts
Colt makes very few if any at all and I looked at the Remington's online and can't get them. At least not the 1911s
I have the loaded, stainless, with adjustable sights. It’s an amazing pistol, far more accurate than I am, and I have yet to have any issues with it that weren’t my own fault.
I bought my first 1911 last year and it came down to a Dan Wesson PM9 or a Springfield TRP. I decided to go 9mm and bought the DW. But I don't think you can go wrong with a Springfield.
Last year, I bought a Dan Wesson for my first 1911. No regrets. My second choice was the Springfield TRP. I'll probably get a TRP one day.
How about Ruger or Rock Island Armory? Are those available in California?
My understanding is they are both good guns.
